Eiyuden Chronicle Walkthrough Part 8

Part 8 of our Eiyiden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Walkthrough. Main quests included are: Euchrisse, the Land of Water, The Despondent King of Euchrisse, Reveal Harlan’s Schemes!, What’s the Right Choice?, The Hishahn Front.

Welcome to Part 8 of my Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Walkthrough. Part 8 deals with the following main story quests: Euchrisse, the Land of Water, The Despondent King of Euchrisse, Reveal Harlan’s Schemes!, What’s the Right Choice?, The Hishahn Front. Quest: Euchrisse, the Land of Water

So your objective now is to go back to Treefolk Village. I assume you remember how? The Greatwood East, into The Greatwood Depths, and you'll be back at Treefolk Village.

Before leaving HQ, Recruit - Chron: Exit the town by the south gate - Chron is there waiting for you (The guy in the red uniform). He unlocks the “house of achievements”.

While travelling in the Greatwood East, Recruit - Gieran: By now, you’ll have the Rune of Conservation (Key Item drop from Ancient Seed boss) to recruit him!

Treefolk Village

Potential Recruit - Squash: You can’t recruit him yet. You need a Sparklestone, which drops from a monster in Dappled Forest. But you don’t have access to that “locked off” area yet.

From here, go out the side and you're on your way.

The Greatwood South Depths

The Greatwood South

Here's the maps of both areas.


Nothing difficult or special here. Notable loot is Mystic Lumber nodes, as well as Malachite Brooch which gives +100 HP - great for squishies.

Euchrisse

Euchrisse is actually the "area", with many other towns in it.

Twinhorne East

An "optional" area with some recruits.

Recruit - Pastole: SW of town. He’s wearing a green… something. While you can technically miss him, I doubt it haha. Talk to him and he’s in!

Recruit - Mariette: S of town, by the water. Item needed is from “Rabbit Archwitch”, in The Greatwood South (north of Twinhorne East). There’s a special battle you can encounter after talking to Mariette which has a Gimmick. The gimmick is simply “attack chest” to open it and get the charm.

Hishahn

You can Smith to Level 6 here!

RECRUIT CARRIE ASAP

Carrie unlocks "fast travel" / Teleportation. VERY USEFUL. You need to encounter her three times in town.

  • Bottom of the “left-center” bridge. Answer 1. “Um…Right.”
  • Top of the “right-center” bridge. Answer 1. “All Right.”.
  • Bottom of the “lower-right” bridge. Answer 2. “I wasn’t Really Looking”

    • I don't know if the answers actually matter.

    Recruit Kurtz: He’s in the middle row, outside the smithy. Needs a Grilled Tutuva recipe from people who are “all bark”. It’s the Treefolk Village, haha. You’ll find the recipe from an NPC at the second floor of Treefolk Village, on the left stairs, near the trading post. Very easy once you have FAST TRAVEL via Carrie.

    Recruit Huang: ACTUALLY VERY DIFFICULT TO RECRUIT. Or, it's pure RNG. You don't have to do this now as it involves fishing up a rare fish (Wheel-Eye Bream) in specific fishing spots around Euchrisse.

    Recruit Riufan: You need to be L32 to challenge him and win him over. As you enter here, most people won't be at that level. I certainly wasn't.

    When you're done, go ahead and upgrade your gear if you like (not necessary, don't sweat it if you can't get everything) then head on over to the Palace up north. Perielle and Janquis formally join up as well.

    Note: There are other recruits you can get right now, I'll list them down at the bottom. They aren't very high impact."

    Quest: The Despondent King of Euchrisse

    A bunch of story and cutscene. See you in a bit!

    Quest: Reveal Harlan’s Schemes!

    To proceed, you NEED to recruit Carrie, and you NEED her in your party. It's funny how you're not REQUIRED by the game, but you simply cannot proceed without Carrie. If you haven't - scroll up to see how.

    Head on over to Hishahn Old Town, east of Hishahn. Some very basic "puzzles" here (barrel pushing). There's special Loot here: the Earning Badge which gives you more money. Drops Rune of Currents, which you need to recruit someone.


    Boss: Pagurian

    Basically, SPAM THE GIMMICK. 100% target the small guys - don’t even worry about “tryharding” the targeting order. Your targeting, if one dies, will be Small Guy, Small Guy, Big Guy. You must keep the small ones down AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

    Drops Rune of Currents, which you need to recruit someone (You can also equip it).

    Quest: What’s the Right Choice?

    Some more story here...

    OPTIONAL Stuff

    There are some things you can do at this point...

    • The recruits at Daphan (I discuss this in the next part, since you pass by there).
    • Recruit - Glen: at Arenside, west of town. Unlocks card game! Beat him and he joins.
    • Recruit - Pieter: at Altverdenm, NW of town, tending crops. Just talk to him!
    • Recruit - Riufan: Remember him from earlier? Need Level 32 or 33.
    • Recruit - Maureus: at the Mountain Path. Need a character with 250 BASELINE UNMODIEFIED MP. A little unlikely as of now. Frencesca's your best bet at L30+.

    Quest: The Hishahn Front

    There are two Large Scale army battles back to back. Again, I really don't think you can lose this, even if you've been slacking on recrutim
