Eiyuden Chronicle Walkthrough Part 6

Part 6 of our Eiyiden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Walkthrough. Main quests included are: Hoist the Alliance Banner, In an Unknown Village, The Village of the Treefolk.

Welcome to Part 6 of my Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Walkthrough. Part 6 deals with the following main story quests: Hoist the Alliance Banner, In an Unknown Village, The Village of the Treefolk. Let's get into it! If you've somehow gotten here by mistake, check the "main hub" of the Eiyuden Chronicle Walkthrough.

Quest: Hoist the Alliance Banner

Three more recruits join you as part of the story: Gocteau, Iris, and Caine.

Your castle name comes from a large pool so keep hitting “Let me think it over” until you find one you like. I suppose for the sake of this walkthrough we’ll call it HQ.

Drafting Studio / Base Building

You’re introduced to base expansion here. But you might not be able to upgrade anything meaningful right now. Basically, this revolves around Recruits, Materials, Headquarters Funds. You gain HQ funds based on your population over set intervals of time in-game (15, 30 mins?). Same applies for resources generated.

From here you need to vaguely "recruit more people", but if you got everyone up to this point, you likely have enough recruits to proceed, but you have to exit and re-enter the entire HQ (not just the castle, the "village" part too, like completely go out).

Quest: In an Unknown Village

Once you re-enter HQ with enough recruits, an event triggers and Kallathor joins up. Before proceeding with the story here's a couple of things you can do:

Practical Recruits, What to do now.

Recruit Martha: She's at the east side of your HQ outside the castle. No requirements, just talk! She's the NPC you need for the food generation upgrade.

Recruit Kerrin: at the Dappled Forest, a bit south and across the river. Shes by a hut on the east of the forest entrance. You need 20 Lumber to recruit Her

The other forest is The Greatwood East, you'll be going there later. Its "locked" for now.

Finally, Bounty Hill far across the HQ. There's nothing you can do there right now.

"Impractical" Recruits, other things to do.

If you want to go back to the Eltisweiss part of the map, you have to go down the well at the ground floor of your HQ back into the Abandoned Mines. Once you get down keep walking south for a "shortcut" (this shortcut doesn't appear in the minimap!). It's a long walk but there are recruits you can get at this time.

  • Ormond (Abandoned Mines 1F): If you took the "Shortcut", you can't miss him. There's a Palenight Armor on the ground north of him that you need for another recruit. Ormond himself will join if you have 3x Iron Ore. Thankfully, there's a node right next to him, haha.
  • Hiro (Abandoned Mines 2F): Remember the merchant guy at the south pillars? He joins up now as your item shopkeeper.
  • Galdorf (Abandoned Mines 1F): He's right by the original entrance of the mines. You need to own a Palenight Armor to recruit him. There's one north of Ormond.
  • Falward (Altverden): Northwest inside the "mayors house". Needs 20 Healing Herbs. Useful as a healer, and has a healing combo with Francesca.
  • Unlocking Beigoma: At Eltisweiss, southwest of town, you start the chain of events that unlocks the Beigoma ("Beyblade") minigame.

Up to you if you wanna recruit them now or later, but you may as well... When you're done, head on over to The Greatwood East. SW of HQ across the river.

The Greatwood East

There's some decent easy to find armor lying around here (Scale Armor, Feathered Hat). Gieran is also in the middle near a campfire here. He's asking for the Rune of Conservation which you don't have or cannot obtain yet. Don't worry you can't miss it - and you'll naturally backtrack to Gieran later as well so don't worry.

The Greatwood East Depths

This map might help you a little...

The green lines are the plant teleporters. If you're anything like me, you'll probably bump into the boss accidentally...

Boss: Ancient Seed

This boss has a "gimmick" - it counters almost all attacks. Combos ARE NOT COUNTERED (great for protecting Lian). Rarely, it doesn't seem to counter some attacks, but just imagine that it will always counter.

Feel free to go ham with your fat frontliners - the counter won't hurt them too much. Be careful with the backline, healing and defending with them if it's too risky to strike.

Remember Gieran? You get the Rune of Conservation that he needs from this boss. Don't worry about backtracking, you'll eventually be back to his area soon.

Quest: The Village of the Treefolk

Nothing much here except some cutscenes. Upgrade your gear here, as well as restock your items in full. The next area is TEDIOUS.
