FFXVI Carrot Hunt Guide: Location, Strategy, etc

Carrot is a Rank B Hunt (Notorious Mark), whose location is offically listed as, "The Whispering Waters, Rosaria". You'll need to be at main scenario quest A Song of Hope to unlock it.

Carrot is unlocked during, and is an objective of, the sidequest: Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol?.

Carrot Location

Where is Carrot located? Teleport to Three Reeds waypoint in Rosaria. From there, follow the path west and head north into "The Whispering Waters" after a short walk. Can't really miss it.

Beating Carrot

You've fought a few morbols at this time, and Carrot isn't so much different.

Bad Breath and Worse Breath: Will do heavy damage and stun you. Don't take chances and get OUT OF THE WAY. Worse Breath moves a bit to the sides so be careful.

Wild Rage: a randomly directed flurry of attacks. Don't try to get in front of it, just let it it fizzle out. If brave, Precision dodge and smack it from the side or behind.

Carrot spits out a black "tar" that leaves a floor effect that you should avoid. Acid Rain is his skil that does this randomly over a large area.

Burrow: is a REPEATED "dig underground, emerge jumping trying to squish you" move. That pretty much sums it up. Punish while Carrot is digging - it will only stop once it takes a bit of damage.

It's easy enough to beat Carrot while being safe. Very, actually. Only if you wanna be fast or fancy does Carrot actually pose a threat to you. Why? It bares does the morbol basic attacks which are actually more diffcult to dodge compared to the "skills".
