FFXVI Scarletite - Where to get, uses, etc

Scarletite is a crafting material used quite a bit around the midgame. Here we talk how and where to get Scarletite.

Scarletite - How and Where to get it?

Hunt: Dozmare drops your very first piece of Scarletite. This hunt is tied to the sidequest Blacksmith's Blues. This is available during the main scenario Here Be Monsters. It also drops recipes which need more than one piece of Scarletite sadly.

Sidequest: Hot Water at Dalimil Inn. You need to be at the main scenario Riddle of the Sands", which is right around the time you first get to Dalimil anyway. You'll get 1 Scarletite and an accessory for your troubles.

Hunt: A Hill to Die on - Fastitocalon: 2x Scarletite drop from this turtle. It's also around Riddle of the Sands main scenario.

Hunt: Ten of Clubs: 1x Scarletite. Unlocked around main scenario Things Fall Apart. This one will comes a little late...

Hunt: Holy Trumpitour: Which is really quite late in the game drops one Scarletite, too.

There are probably other sources, and I'll list them soon, but you should have more than you need with the above.

Scarletite - Uses

Drakeslayer's Gear (Belt, Bracelets). Completing the Blacksmith Blues sidequest mentioned above will unlock two recipes which require Scarletite.

I highly suggest crafting the Drakeslayer's Belt first. You'll have a decent wristband you can loot around this time, so the belt makes more sense. Also, I think this is the one you can really craft first anyway since it only needs an Electrum.

I'm not sure there are other uses for it, lemme check my notes...
