Food For Thought is a Sidequest in FFXVI taken from Keneth, Kitchen Head, at Hideaway. Food For Thought becomes available at the main scenario quest Hide, Hideaway.

Food For Thought Objectives

Pre-quest / Intro: Quite possible your very first or second Sidequest. It’s simple enough! Kenneth asks for your help delivering food to the various denizens of Hideaway.

Serve Kenneth’s Soup. 0/3

After taking the quest from kenneth simply deliver the bowls of soup to the various people around the tavern.

• One says that we should be rewarded our efforts, as nobody here is a slave.
• The other, stating Hideaway is the home he never had, compared to his lifelong treatment as a Branded.
• Another eagerly learns how to make himself more useful to the Hideaway community!

Return to Kenneth.

Interestingly, by serving these people Clive learns how the Hideaway treats its people. Clive immediately comments on how each were branded men, and Kenneth explains that their society is built on equality, and humane treatment for everyone.

“Their first hot meal here, is the first hot meal for many “. Ouch.

We learn the Hideaway is kind of like Rosalia, wherein Bearers are treated much better than they would be in any other place. This kind of treatment is exceedingly rare almost everywhere else. Just how bad it is outside, well, it won’t be long for us to find out.

Food For Thought: Rewards or Unlocks

No notable rewards.

While most of these sidequest guides are unnecessary, I mainly made these as a way to "forever remember" my thoughts, as well as give me a way to "backtrack" in case I forget things about FFXVI.

Impressively the sidequests in FFXVI, I felt for the majority, really helps build the world and lore. I highly recommend doing them asap during the main scenario / campaign. Might as well check out the Hunts too.
