Necromancer's Lair Sea of Stars Walkthrough Pt.15
Walkthrough & Loot Reminders for the Necromancer's Lair parts of Sea of Stars.
Welcome again to our Sea of Stars Walkthrough. This segment deals with the events in the Necromancer's Lair. This is right after the Ferrymans Vigil / Flooded Graveyard.
"Missable Items" / Important Loot Notes
- Armor: Spectral Cape
- Rainbow Conch
- Weapon: Osseus Staff
- Accessory: Enchanted Scarf (on your way out)
- SCROLL DOWN FOR "OPTIONAL" stuff after
This is pretty much the second part of the Flooded Graveyard. Right here in the first area, you’ll get an Artifact: Romaya’s Hairpin for Teaks. Keep going and you’ll be at a crossroads with 3 paths. You’ll need a left, middle, and right skull to proceed. There’s a savepoint and camp here, so save before going forward.
Middle Skull
Just beating the Revenant here near the savepoint unlocks the Middle Skull. What I presumed at the time to be a miniboss is actually just a regular enemy you see around here.
Right Path / Skull
In the first part, there’s just some basic lever flipping puzzles. There’s a Spectral Cape along the main path here you can’t miss it. Flip the switch, release the ladder, go up the ladder and down to the right.
In the second area, you will very quickly get the Graplou - allowing you to grapple to various things, as well as “ambush” enemies! Get out of here by pressing the lighted panels and grappling.
Back in the first area, you can now grapple across the gap in the second floor by grappling ONTO the wizard enemy across for a Rainbow Conch. Now keep going on the up / left area and the next room will have the Skull. Make your way back to the “central room”.
Left Path / Skull
The left path can be a little complicated to explain, but there is really only one way forward. In the 2nd room there’s a chest right in the open with Osseus Staff. This is just a bunch of switching and grappling. Might seem confusing but really there’s just one path to progress.
You'll shuffle between the rooms switching levers and grappling while relocating the platform. You’ll eventually end up in a 4 enemy fight which can be tough - this rewards the skull. REMEMBER TO TOUCH IT, haha. It won’t be placed unless you touch it.
Go back to the central room, rest, cook, and save cause you got a boss up next!
Boss - Romaya
Has a 10 lock sequence. Try to deal with adds as best as you can, but prioritize breaking the lock. It’s tough to break, usually needing a Moonerang amongst many other skills. If you don’t manage it, don't worry so much.
As usual, deal with adds ASAP. Try to hold as many live mana orbs as you can, you can actually complete this fight without Romaya doing anything notable.
It’s a long walk back. Once you’re in the Flooded Graveyard again, check the upper right grapples for an Enchanted Scarf (next map after the butler).
There's still a few things you CANT do here, but go back to the ferryman and you'll be teleported back to Garl in Lucent town! Some cutscenes follow.
OPTIONAL: Solstice Shrine and Turbo Cookie
- Weapon: Shimmering Sword - free anti-undead weapon.
- Weapon: Shimmering Staff - free anti-undead weapon.
- Accessory: Solstice Sash
- Turbo Cookie (and related "prizes")
Optional but recommended! You can now access the Solstice Shrine in this island. Exit town and its nearby up north. Simple puzzle will yield weapon upgrades for both Zale and Valere: Shimmering Sword, and Shimmering Staff, and Accessory Solstice Sash.
You can also get the Turbo Cookie for the ghost northwest of town. This starts by grappling from the bridge at Lucent and following it all the way to the end to the room on top of the inn. The prize isn’t so relevant right now so you can wait to do it later if you like.
Talk to the Headmaster at the tavern in Lucent when you're ready to go.
