Sea of Stars True Ending Guide - How to get it?

How and what do you have to do, to get the True Ending in Sea of Stars!

If you're here, you're wondering about the True Ending in Sea of Stars. Well, you've come to the right place! Here's the SEVEN things you need to do to unlock Sea of Stars true ending.

That's the summary of the True Ending requirements! After doing all seven of those tasks, obtain your "reward" by going to the Mooorland Stone formation and head on over to the Fleshmancer's Lair and beat the final boss again.

But before anything else, you HAVE TO BEAT THE GAME and get the normal ending FIRST Not done yet? See our Sea of Stars Walkthrough. IE Entering and completing Fleshmancer's Lair first. Finally, I placed these tasks roughly in order I recommend doing them.

Again, I RECOMMEND BEATING THE GAME FIRST BEFORE DOING MOST / ANY OF THESE TASKS.

All Solstice Shrines, Elder Mist II

While you've probably done a few of these beforehand, you need flight to access all of them. Simple enough - find and solve all Solstice Shrine puzzles. Then after doing so, go to the Mountain Trail and access the portal near the top for a boss fight with Elder Mist (again).

There are five Solstive Shrines in total (1 in Serai's world, 4 in the original world).

I recommend doing this first, as there's alot of powerful relics and the ultimate weapons for both Zale and Valere. This has the most bang for buck in terms of effort to reward.

Find and Defeat The Queen that Was

You have to find the location, and defeat the secret boss "The Queen that Was". This is in relation to Serai's storyline. You can trigger this questline by talking to Serai at any camp after being able to fly. Long story short it's in Cerulean Wastes (in Serais world), and follow these directions: Northeast, Southeast, Northeast, and then East.

This one is rather short, and gives Serai's ultimate weapon.

Defeat all opponents in the Brisk Arena

At the endpoint of the game, Brisk town fully rebuilds and you can now enter the Dweller's Fall Arena at the northeast side of Brisk. Your objective is to beat ALL ENEMIES IN ALL RANKS. This is pretty fun. The final boss can be a little scary!

Completing this task gives you Bst's ultimate armor. Not too long, and at least it's in one single place.

Complete all Sunken Docarri Ruins

Now the slog begins. This task is pretty tedious. You have to find, enter, and solve all four sunken Docarri Ruins. These are accessed via the using the Solstice Amulet light shifting power in the (original) world map. There are giant crystals in the ocean that you can aim to certain runes to unlock these ruins entrances. Four in total.

These are mostly simply puzzles, with one that can be a little annoying. There's also a boss, but it's a pushover. Reward is Reshan's ultimate weapon.

Free Duke Aventry from Romaya

This one requires a lot of walking... Well, you gotta do what you gotta do. To start this off, you need to solve the puzzle at Romaya's Secret Passage - northeast of Wraith Island. It's a bit of a long questline after that, and it's can be annoying trying to find Duke Aventry during all this, as he can move between some locations.

The reward is your second Eclipse Armor, as well as the Aventry Crest artifact for Teaks.

Find all 60 Rainbow Conches

OK! Here goes! Time to cross those t's and dot those i's. Try to visit the Rainbow Conch vendor and get the reward for 27 Rainbow Conches - the Falcon-eyed Parrot Relic. Why? This little guy can help you find out WHAT TREASURES / CONCHES ARE MISSING FROM WHICH ISLAND. How? To use this parrot, you need to be on the map screen (not the world map, like actually looking at the in-game map). Then, pressing on an island will tell you if you're missing a treasure, conch, or if you're all clear. Press on an island repeatedly to "cycle" through whatever you're missing from there.

Using the parrot, hunt down the Rainbow Conches you still need. Hopefully your memory is good! Heh.

Rebuild Mirth Completely

Finally, you need to completely rebuild Mirth. I put this task last since it's pretty much locked behind Rainbow Conches anyway. You need to get the Plans for the Inn, Shop, Fishing Hut, and Spa. These are all from Rainbow Conches.

After getting any of these plans, you can then in turn recruit their respective "professionals" to manage these new buildings. Once you've gotten both the buildings and the NPC's to man them - this task is done.

Done with the tasks! Now what? GET THE ACTUAL TRUE ENDING!

Whew, that was somethin' else! Now that you're done here are the final three things you can / need to do.

  • Head to the stone formation in Moorland and get the reward for your efforts.
  • Go to the Fleshmancer's Lair and beat the (new) final boss.
  • Got the true ending? OPTIONAL SECRET: Flimsy Hammers.
