The goal of New Game Plus Plus is to get the "TRUE" ending, or at least that's what the community calls it (Officially, the "Alea Lacta Est" ending). Which entails selecting certain missions... There's a lot of misinformation online about how to get it...

This way you get to experience all the missions the game has to offer (achievement), as well as all the endings (also achievements).

Seeing as you're in NG+ you might wanna check out

Attack the Dam Complex DECISION?

A lot of people say you need to betray the Redguns to trigger the true ending - this isn't true. However, from a THEMATIC perspective - beating up Iguazu at every chance you get makes a lot of sense for this path. Sadly you have to deal with the Prisoner Rescue mission if you do this.

SORTIE: Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship

DECISION (TRUE ENDING): Only available in NG++, cancels out Destroy the Weaponized Mining Ship. SELECT THIS ONE, as you likely need it to trigger the TRUE ENDING.

SORTIE: Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection

FOR TRUE ENDING. Only available in NG++. The strategy should be pretty obvious here - beat the EKDROMOI (small guys) first. They’re surprisingly easy to hit. CATAPHRACT can only be hit “head on”, right dead in the center between the tank treads. If you remember, you've fought this boss before - it's basically the same guy only with friends now.

NG++ Chapter 2

See: Chapter 2 Walkthrough for the mission notes if you need it. (or NG+ Walkthrough)

There is nothing in Chapter 2 in NG++ that you have to note to trigger the TRUE ENDING.

NG++ Chapter 3

See: Chapter 3 Walkthrough for the mission notes if you need it. (or NG+ Walkthrough)

Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech???

Some say that you need to select this mission for the true ending. I'm not convinced. I have to test this, but I doubt it matters. If you're paranoid - go for it.

SORTIE: Coral Export Denial

FOR TRUE ENDING. Only available in NG++, and likely only if you escorted the Weaponized Mining Ship.

No checkpoints. You'll need a Long Range FCS, and Long Range fast projectile weapons (Laser Rifles) are good. Most shoulder mounted cannons are also decent. Tetrapods or Reverse Joints are good here for jumping or hovering.

Once 5 ships escape, you fail. For the first two areas try to not let any escape. On the bridge, it’s considerably more difficult - so having those extra "lives" matter a lot here.

NG++ Chapter 4

See: Chapter 4 Walkthrough for the mission notes if you need it. (or NG+ Walkthrough)

ARENA ANALYSIS?

While I'm not sure if this is required for the TRUE ENDING, you might as well get it done. There's a reason for be to believe they are linked, but I have no way to prove or disprove this unless I make a completely new save. EITHER WAY - YOU WANT TO BE DOING THESE ANYWAY, as they also give parts.

So from now on, DO THESE AS THEY GET UNLOCKED.

Eliminate V.III

TRUE ENDING: This is a new path in NG++. A triple decision between this, Ambush the Vespers, and Intercept the Redguns. Thank god you don't have to that THAT one again...

Do yourself a favor and PLEASE FALL ALL THE WAY DOWN - you don't die! Unless you have a tetrapod it’s very difficult to fight him in the upper areas. All the way DOWN to the pit! Here, his "flying" advantage is nullified! I know there's a pun here regarding dragging them down to your level and winning...

SORTIE: Coral Convergence

NG++ ALT MISSION (TRUE ENDING): If you've done everything "required" for the true ending prior - then you will have a completely new mission objective here. After trashing Maeterlinck and Wu Hantai, ALLMIND redirects you to eliminate Snail and... guess who? GOOD OLD IGUAZU!!!

For some reason, I beat these two chumps on my first try. It went extremely smoothly... But, I can imagine this not happening. Trash one of these guys ASAP. Since you technically get an "ambush" try to absolutely obliterate one of them ASAP.

NG++ Chapter 5

See: Chapter 5 Walkthrough for the mission notes if you need it. (or NG+ Walkthrough)

If you see "MIA" as your mission here in CH5 - you've done it. You're on your way to the "Alea Lacta Est" ending.

SORTIE: MIA

BOSS VIII Pater: there’s a small hallway to get into. This naturally counters Paters fight pattern (he prefers flying). Smash him inside this small room.

Regain Control of the Xylem

Can be pretty tense with the time limit. Destroy the bots to get the location (the ground based ones seem to be the key to it). Might take a run or two for practice.

The “boss” is a pushover, but youll unlikely win on your first try due to lack of repair kits.

SORTIE: Coral Release

Ah, the very last mission. It's a salty one to be sure...

-- How to beat ALLMIND

This fight has three phases, and its a bit of a slog. My advice for your loadout is Melee Weapon (the basic pulse blade works fine), double heavy shoulder weapons, and a main-hand of choice. The secret sauce for beating this is ASSAULT ARMOR in your expansion slot.

ALLMIND PHASE 1: AC and a bunch of chumps. This can get extremely frustrating, as you'll take a bunch of chip damage from these irrelevant guys. Try your best to beat them up ASAP. The AC is very slippery, and you can dedicate your main-hand non-sword weapon to help out here. A Machine Gun of sorts? Your shoulder weapons will very rarely connect here.

ALLMIND PHASE 2: Tougher AC and 2x Flying Sea Spiders. BURST DOWN these two flyers and literally IGNORE the AC. Absolutely demolish these guys ASAP and avoid taking damage as much as you can. While they aren't challenging, there's quite a bit of RNG wether you'll be focused by the AC or not. Either way, destroy the flyers and hope for the best. As for the AC, he isn't that bad as he does have openings where your shoulder weapons can connect.

ALLMIND PHASE 3: Ultimate AC. Its first move is a melee strike and this is where assault armor comes in. Try to stagger it ASAP during this first attack, time it right. Hopefully you have a Repair Kit left... This AC is very powerful so you can only survive so long. After this first "free" stagger you'll only likely need one more to win. Max 2. You can either play safely and hope for Assault Armor to come back up, or try to win naturally. Good Luck, Buddy.

If you've follows this walkthrough you've had experienced all endings.

  • Fires of Raven Ending
  • Liberator of Rubicon Ending
  • Alea Lacta Est Ending (can only be done in NG++)

Congratulations! You've beaten AC6 NG++. Hopefully youre DONE. Third time's the charm!
