AFK AUTO Farming Guide! How to & Tips

Tips and how to start AFK auto farming in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Yes, you should be doing this it's NOT AN EXPLOIT!

The title attracted you ey? Yeah, me too. HOW TO AFK FARM AUTOMATICALLY in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Straight up! Now I must remind any reader that THIS IS NOT AN EXPLOIT, HAX OR BUG. It's an in-game system!

Auto AFK Farming: How to & Setting Up

Okay this is a step by step process on how to get this up and running.

1) Choose a mission from the Quest Counter that you want to farm.

2) Complete it once, manually or using auto-assist doesn't matter.

3) Press (Square) / (X) at the end screen, instead of going back to town - this asks you to toggle "repeat mode". The quest will now restart.

NOTE: Make sure your TIPS SCREEN is set to "auto-skip". If it's your first time doing this, your loading screens might still be set to manual. There's a button on the lower left of the loading screen to toggle this. You can also do this from the menu Game Options - Gameplay - Loading Screen Skip.

4) Turn on Full Assist mode from: Menu - Game Options - Gameplay, Assist Mode - Full Assist Mode. Your character than plays (pretty well, mind you) automatically if the enemy is in range. Technically optional, but why not help the AI out.

If done correctly, the next steps should be "???" and "Profit", or so I hear.

Mahiko San thoughts: A quest only repeats 10 times!
It's very fun optimizing this process (for me)

Auto AFK Farming Tips

Ah, here comes the part I love. How to make this process faster, and more consistent. I'll go over the main avenues of improvement that give a lot of value.

Long Range Main Character

Your main active character being ranged is better than melee. Why? Simple. You only auto-battle while in range of the enemy! My favorite unit for this is Rackam.

If you don't have a powerful ranged unit, don't worry. Using your main if it's a melee is "ok" for now. Since they use link attack and "teleport" to the enemy, they will eventually get some hits in.

But, I highly recommend building up Rackam or another Ranged Unit with having an AFK farming character build in mind, it's a nice side project and a great use of upgrade resources - it will pay you back!

A Good Team Composition Helps!

Have a good "4-man farming team in mind". Worst case scenario you have a melee main, you can do something like this...

  • Active Character: Rackam or any ranged unit...
  • Your "main" character, but set as AI. No need to change build!
  • Any other "mains" that you've built up as backup DPS.
  • Other support AI units you have. (SUPPORT CAGLIOSTRO!!!)

I mean, it's hard to go wrong with any setup but to give you a specific example you can go something like:

  • Rackam
  • "Your main" as an AI fighter.
  • Other support / DPS characters.
  • Other support / DPS characters.

Some great AI units are Cagliostro, Gran / Djeeta, Eugen, Io...

As long as you have a sensible lineup with some healing, you're good.

Obviously, Raw Power Helps

Obviously, the more powerful your farming team is, you can go for beefier missions, and clear them faster. On this note, very specific AI / Autofarm Builds indirectly give you more power. Stun Weapons, Stun Power, Link Together...

While gaining raw power is obviously useful, I suppose smart setups can compound this effect to greater heights. This is a subject for a more specific guide, or I can write more about this here soon.

Autofarming Higher Difficulties

Since Auto-assist is disabled in higher difficulties, some say you "cannot" AFK farm it. This is technically untrue. You CAN AFK farm higher difficulties: albeit with "minus 1" active character (Auto-assist disabled), and much more powerful enemies.

In order to succeed AFK farming in higher difficulties you need to make some adjustments to your farming builds, as well as needing to be much more powerful.

One important thing to do is having a TANKY ACTIVE CHARACTER, with Regen, a ton of HP, Low Profile, etc. Why? Since AI is very good at survival, your character dying repeatedly is much more a problem. So as long as you can survive "anything", you're good to go.

As long as your other AI teammates can dish out some serious damage, you'll do OK.

Summary, Related Info

So yeah, amazing right. You can AFK autofarm in Relink, and I hope this guide helped you either find that out, or improve upon it. I'm sure im not alone in being the type of person who would want to optimize this, haha.
