Early on, the game asks you to make a Pal Sphere and not much else, haha.

To begin, you have to UNLOCK Pal sphere, and the Primitive Workbench from the Technology Tree (go to main menu, and check the Technology tab). There are on Level 1 and 2 respectively.

Naturally as your capability to produce (hopefully via auto "palwork") or harvest Stone, Wood, and Paldium Fragments increase, your strain to produce Pal Spheres will go down.
