Chapter 6 Walkthrough: Pre-notes

A Moment's Rest

The Royal Coast

Paradise Awaits

Costa del Sol Resort

While I usually say "Don't explore yet", don't worry cause you CAN'T EXPLORE YET (outside of Costa). But, the same advice applies somewhat DON'T BOTHER EXPLORING AROUND COSTA DEL SOL YET, you'll eventually go ALL AROUND via the various quests.

Materia Shop has Barrier Materia, and Empowerment Materia, which would be your first time to encounter them. There's some random interactions here with Yuffie. Check the hotels, and eventually follow Johnny around - you can't even talk to many of the shopkeepers yet…

Unarmed

Beach Boys

Your goal is to get two sets of Clouds beach wear. They also mention a prize for riding the Wheelie. Best prizes are at 2000m and 4000m respectively. Don't stress out about the wheelie distance now (wrap up the 4k distance later on) but try to only use one Wheelie, as you have to return them all later manually.

Pirates Rampage

One of the prizes is a Time Materia, the first you'll encounter.

Card Carnival

I initially put the Queensblood card puzzle solutions here, but I instead made a separate guide for it to prevent spoilers. See: Costa del Sol Card Carnival Puzzle Solutions.

You only need to solve Card Carnival - Puzzle 1 "Three-Card Stud", Puzzle 2 "Go for Choco-Broke", Puzzle 3 "Mischief-Making Moogles". You then unlock the OPTIONAL 4, 5, and 6.

A Change of Pace

Fun While it Lasts

Now it's Aerith, Tifa, and Reds turn!

Run Wild

1st Prize is a Red XIII Weapon Silver Collar, go for that. Keep your score at 5, and try to get every other team to 4. Just need to score once on each other team. Defend once you're “winning” and take free easy shots when you can. Let them fight it out, and take advantage when they're tired.

Royal Coast Concert

I got an A here, but the rewards just seem to be basic items, so don't sweat it. Getting an A here also allows you to submit your score to the guy in Junon. Also, better score have some implications on the cutscenes.

Cactuar Caper

The Cactuars (PINK) are like tiny STICKERS or GRAFFITI, not actual Cactuars… Take a picture with the up button. Each has a required “zoom”. You'll know you're “near” if a camera icon appears above your head. Yeah, it's a little more involved than I thought heh.

Going by the drawing / note:

Top /1st Cactuar: The signboard on top of the Surf and Suntan (the hut that separates the beach and city).

Right / 2nd Easy: On the higher of the two docks, just go to the end and you'll see it on those stone triangle things.

Left / 3rd Cactuar: From where the Shinra guy is, head up the stairs. It's on a rock face, look up! “Between the Stairs and the Chocobo Balloon”.

Lowest / 4th Cactuar: On the Fire Hydrant near the pier. Near the mom saying “getting warmer! Warmer!”

Mahiko San Note: Again, you're looking for PINK Cactuar "stickers" / "paintings".

Wheelie Rendezvous

Since I used the Wheelies, I can't really tell you where each one is since I moved them around before this quest. If it helps, the one I got stuck on was the Red Wheelie parked in front of the Royal hotel.

You might as well get the 4000m max prize done now as well. You should be close. Pedometer Pin gives 1 gil for every 100 steps taken (Doesn't seem to work for non-active members). Headband gives Sleep Immunity.

Hojo's Mojo

Mad Science

Boss: Grasptropod

Synergy Skills and Synergy Abilities pressure it, as well as significant damage. It's weak to lightning and strong against Ice. If you haven't tried the Enemy Skill Plasma Discharge, try it out here. It's pretty godly.

When Evening Comes

Hotelward Bound

On the Road Again

I guess you're "on the road" to Chapter 7!

Chapter 6 Walkthrough: Closing notes

Did that captain just say, “There's nothing like a good Lei”? Ok... That's about it for FF7 Rebirth's Chapter 6 Walkthrough!
