BG3 Actor Feat

Info on the Actor BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?

Actor is one of the Feats in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Actor good?" "is Actor worth it?".

Actor Effects

As per the in-game description: Your Charisma increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. Your Proficiency Bonus is also doubled for Deception and Performance Checks..

Actor mechanics clarifications

Proficiency starts as a +2 to your roll (+4 with Actor). Proficiency increases to +3/+4/+5 at Level 5/9/13 (13 not reachable in base BG3). So with Actor, +6/+8/+10

Deception and Performance are non-combat skills and pretty much only help in dialogue.

Is Actor worth it?

So, is Actor good? When would you take Actor? It's actually not bad. Of course this feat is purely a non-combat one, but it helps you pass rolls (or reduce savescumming, lol) with an absolutely titanic bonus to Deception (which is used a lot), and Performance which is still ok. A very good feat for Bard since they may have more Perfomance Checks than most.

But of course, if you only care about ungga bungga... This ain't it.
