BG3 Elemental Adept Feat
Info on the Elemental Adept BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?
Elemental Adept is one of the Feats in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Elemental Adept good?" "is Elemental Adept worth it?".
Elemental Adept Effects
As per the in-game description: Your spells ignore Resistance to a damage type of your choice. When you cast spells of that type, you cannot roll a 1..
Elemental Adept mechanics clarifications
"Unable to roll 1" means it upgrades to a 2. This is in 5e, though. I think it works this way in BG3 also. The only other possibility is it "rerolls" 1's.
Resistance means half damage. This feat then would ignore enemies resistances to the selected element.
Is Elemental Adept worth it?
So, is Elemental Adept good? When would you take Elemental Adept? Yes, it's pretty good for any character that relies on a specific type of elemental damage for majority of their spells. Piercing through resistance is the key here, which is welcome whenever it applies. Not rolling 1's is not a bad bonus as well.
You can take this multiple times, but I'd imagine for BG3 you'd wanna stick to builds that would only want to take this once.
