BG3 Heavy Armour Master - Feat

Info on the Heavy Armour Master BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?

Heavy Armour Master is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Heavy Armour Master good?" "is Heavy Armour Master worth it?".

Heavy Armour Master Effects

Has a pre-requisite(s): Proficiency with heavy armor.

Heavy Armour Master mechanics clarifications

Heavy Armor requirements typically top out at 15 STR.

Is Heavy Armour Master worth it?

So, is Heavy Armour Master good? When would you take Heavy Armour Master? Yes, this is one of the best feats IMO.

The +1 STR does alot here. If you are going for Heavy Armor you can start out (or respec to) an odd number of STR so this will bring you to the next even breakpoint. It also helps with Heavy Armor STR reqs. You can get a 15 STR character to 16 with this, and take the next two feats as Ability Score Improvement to 20!

The numeric reduction to non magical damage is also relevant. At the very low end you can save 12 to 15 or so damage, in many instances this will save even more.

Free Ability Point and a decently powerful passive effect on top is a win in my book. Almost any character wearing Heavy has an excuse to consider this - with many better off taking it!
