BG3 Lucky Feat

Info on the Lucky BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?

Lucky is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Lucky good?" "is Lucky worth it?".

Lucky Effects

As per the in-game description: You gain 3 Luck Points, which you can use to gain Advantage on Attack Rolls, Ability Checks, or Saving Throws, or to make an enemy reroll their Attack Rolls..

Lucky mechanics clarifications

Advantage means rolling two dice, and taking the higher result.

The effect on the enemy isn't exactly Disadvantage. If the second roll is higher, they will use it.

Is Lucky worth it?

So, is Lucky good? When would you take Lucky? It's not great. It boils down to "3 Advantage rolls per long rest" which isn't terrible, but kinda unexciting. You can also cause an enemy pseudo disadvantage as well.

From an RP, or thematic perspective Lucky is a great feat for many character archetypes. It's certainly a fun trait that can generate some memorable moments.

Summary and Closing
