BG3 Martial Adept Feat
Info on the Martial Adept BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?
Martial Adept is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Martial Adept good?" "is Martial Adept worth it?".
Martial Adept Effects
As per the in-game description: You learn two maneouvres from the Battle Master subclass and gain a Superiority Die to fuel them. You regain expended Superiority Dice after a Short or Long Rest..
Martial Adept mechanics clarifications
Superiority Dice are used exclusively with Battle Master maneuvers.
There are a rather long list of possible maneuvers to take. Notably my favorite ones are Disarming Strike, Trip Attack, and Goading Attack.
If your maneuver misses, the Superiority Dice isn't spent.
Is Martial Adept worth it?
So, is Martial Adept good? When would you take Martial Adept? It's not really worth it. Don't get me wrong, the Battle Master maneuvers are great - but a single Superiority Dice means you only get to use it once in a combat, and it only restores on rest. I'd only BEGIN to consider this if my main ability score is already 20 - and even then it's far fetched.
Even from an RP or thematic standpoint this feat is pretty weak. It gives you a specialized attack? Seems there's better ways to flesh out your character...
