BG3 Resilient Feat

Info on the Resilient BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?

Resilient is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Resilient good?" "is Resilient worth it?". Remember in BG3 what we would typically call "stats" are referred to as Abilities.

Resilient Effects

As per the in-game description: You increase an Ability by 1, to a maximum of 20, and gain Proficiency in that Ability's Saving Throws..

Resilient mechanics clarifications

Proficiency gives a +2/3/4 bonus at levels 1/5/9.

Is Resilient worth it?

So, is Resilient good? When would you take Resilient? Yes - but in a specific scenarios. It's a good feat if you need exactly 1 stat to "fix" an odd stat. Getting two stats will sometimes give you another "odd stat" which is useless anyway. So taking resilient at the very least gives you the added bonus of Proficiency with Saving Throws using that ability which is surprisingly more useful than I initially imagined.

So yeah that's the main reason you'd take Resilient. It's the default go-to for "1 extra stat", with a usable, universal bonus.

A special case exists for CON, and Spellcasters. Taking Resilient gives you advantage on Concentration checks to not break your spells, since these are CON based Saving Throws. This is one of the better "niche" cases wherein Resilient shines.

Summary and Closing

Hopefully you gained some insight on the Resilient feat in Baldurs Gate 3 and decide whether you need it in your build or not!
