BG3 Sharpshooter Feat

Info on the Sharpshooter BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?

Sharpshooter is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Sharpshooter good?" "is Sharpshooter worth it?".

Sharpshooter Effects

As per the in-game description: Your ranged weapon attacks do not receive penalties from High Ground Rules. Ranged weapon attacks with weapons you are Proficient with have a -5 penalty to their Attack Roll, but deal an additional 10 damage. (You can toggle this on and off.).

Has a pre-requisite(s):.

Sharpshooter mechanics clarifications

"No penalty for you being on Low Ground compared to target" sounds a little more sensible.

Is Sharpshooter worth it?

So, is Sharpshooter good? When would you take Sharpshooter? Yes. This is a godlike feat for any character primarily attacking via ranged weapons.

The main draw is the toggle. +10 Damage is HUGE. -5 Accuracy hurts, but there are many many ways around this. The Archery fighting style alone is already +2. Advantage is also huge to counter this. To put it simply, there are many ways to shore up -5 Accuracy, but it's very difficult to get +10 damage!

Ignoring Low Ground penalties is a welcome boost. Helps you out with better positioning options.
