BG3 Weapon Master - Feat
Info on the Weapon Master BG3 Feat. Tips, when to use, is it worth it, is it good?
Weapon Master is a Feat in Baldurs Gate 3. Here's a short guide on it on what it does (and clarifications), as well as "is Weapon Master good?" "is Weapon Master worth it?".
Weapon Master Effects
As per the in-game description: You gain Proficicency with four weapons of your choice, and your Strength or Dexterity increases by 1, to a maximum of 20..
Weapon Master mechanics clarifications
Proficiency with a weapon isn't REQUIRED to use that weapon, but it would be a TERRIBLE CHOICE to do it. You'd lose out on Proficiency bonus on your swings.
Proficiency starts as a +2 to your rolls. Proficiency increases to +3/+4/+5 at Level 5/9/13.
Is Weapon Master worth it?
So, is Weapon Master good? When would you take Weapon Master? It's good. I mean, sometimes you just need a weapon proficiency and one Ability point to boot. As basic as this sounds, there are worse feats, and worse fates for a build than to use this.
However, most people might want to multiclass instead to get that proficiency. If that is not an option, then you're stuck with this - which isn't bad.
Again, creative multiclassing might be better to solve your Weapon Proficiency problem, and can bring your character even more bonuses!
