The Grandfather (Unique Item)

The Grandfather is a Unique Item with the following stats and effects:

  • Critical Strike Damage
    • Damage
    • Maximum Life
    • All Stats
    • Ignores Durability Loss
  • Increases your Critical Strike Damage by [60 - 100%]. The other properties of this weapon can roll higher than normal.

    • An unbroken lineage of unwavering strength.

    The Grandfather directly modifies:

    The Grandfather was added into the game during Diablo 4 Season 1 .

    The Grandfather Item Stats

    Like all Uniques, The Grandfather is a little different than your typical item.

    Locked Stats: The Grandfather will always roll these stats: Damage, Maximum Life, All Stats, Ignores Durability Loss. Any of these CANNOT be Enchanted off ("rerolled"). They ARE affected by range RNG and item tier. Typically, these stats exceed the range possible for normal non-unique items.

    Intrinsic won't change: All copies of The Grandfather will always roll with: Critical Strike Damage as it's inherent stat.

    Unique Effects: generally have a range. Numeric ones (typically damage) scale by item tier as well (Normal, Sacred, etc). will update to comment on each specific type. Effect Range is, sadly, affected by RNG.

    Being a "general" unique, it (THANKFULLY) will still only drop for classes that can actually "use" or "trigger" its effect.

    I'll also be updating each unique with general thoughts on
    their power level and usefulness.
