D4 Rogue Leveling Guide & Build
Looking to level up quickly and easily? Welcome to our Diablo 4 Rogue Leveling Guide! The important most important chunks of info here are:
- Rogue Leveling Notes by Level.
- Rogue Leveling Build by Skillpoint.
This is designed to be used TOGETHER WITH:
D4 General ALL CLASSES Leveling Guide.
I'll be adding other segments during this next beta, like an intro to subsystems, among other things. For now, enjoy!
+/- Buttons and Searching by text isn't implemented yet.Reminders by level:
Since there are so few right now, I'll just make them all visible by default...
Leveling Build by Skillpoint:
I will implement a visual limitation on these soon, maybe the previous and next 3 are only shown.
Rogue Important Notes by Level (plain text)
Here are the level by level notes presented plainly. Obviously this will expand over time as we can level to max. Note that these are for Rogue specifically, and the general notes are found in the general guide.
Level | Reminder | Note |
---|---|---|
3 | Improving your Flurry | I highly recommend completing the Forsaken Quarry dungeon for the Aspect of Encircling Blades. The circular AoE is a huge quality of life improvement. If you leave Kyovashad by the east exit, just keep travelling north while hugging the wall on your left (you need to climb once), you'll bump into the dungeon entrance shortly. You don't need to do this now, since it's unlikely you'll have a weapon to imprint - but it's good to be aware of it. |
15 | Unlock Specializations! | The priority quest True Potential unlocks a rogue system - Specializations. The first one you unlock with this quest is Specialization: Combo Points. You gain combo points with your basic skills, and spend them for bonus effects with your Core skills. It's a straight up power increase so get it ASAP. |
20 | Inner Sight Specialization | This priority quest unlocks your second Specialization - Inner Sight. It's a nifty little system that marks a random nearby enemy - hitting this enemy fills up a gauge. When full, for a limited time, you spend no energy on skills! This is honestly only useful for longer tougher boss fights, as it can be a bit of a hassle and you might not always maximize it when your gauge hits full in normal scenarios. |
25 | Max Level (for now) | Welp, you gave Barbarian a spin (pun intended) and got there. This is the end of the line for now, try to level other classes! |
Rogue Leveling Build (plain text)
Here's the leveling build presented plainly. As a side note I will probably add at least one variant per build, or maybe more once your reach key passive levels.
Skillpoint | Node | Note |
---|---|---|
1 | Puncture | The best basic skill once upgraded. Good in melee, passable in ranged. |
2 | Enhanced Puncture | For the most part, we get it to access the next upgrade. |
3 | Flurry | While almost all core skills are good, I chose Flurry for a bunch of reasons. As your build matures, you'll understand. |
4 | Fundamental Puncture | GODLY. Vulnerability on demand. Also gives more knives making it better in melee. |
5 | Enhanced Flurry | Low key amazing. The auto-vuiln on Puncture makes this easy to proc. Provides a ton of healing. |
6 | Improved Flurry | Hitting a Vulnerable enemy with Flurry spreads the debuff to all other enemies hit. |
7 | Dash | Basic skill for mobility, travelling, and repositioning in combat! |
8 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 2. |
9 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 3. |
10 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 4. |
11 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 5. |
12 | Dark Shroud | A basic defese against bosses and elites. Poison Trap is an option, too, but this just helps out in the situations where your build lacks. Poison Trap, while powerful, doesn't really cover our weaknesses. |
13 | Enhanced Dark Shroud | Gives a chance a Dark Shroud shadow does not get consumed when hit. |
14 | Countering Dark Shroud | Adds an offensive angle to Dark Shroud, increasing our Critical Hit Chance. |
15 | Exploit | Increases damage vs Healthy and Injured enemies... talk about double dipping. |
16 | Exploit | Power up Exploit to Level 2. |
17 | Shadow Imbuement | It's this or Poison Imbuement. This helps a bit with trash, and will help against tough enemies upgraded. |
18 | Exploit | Power up Exploit to Level 3. |
19 | Enhanced Shadow Imbuement | Notably power against injured enemies. Great versus bosses and elites. |
20 | Sturdy or Puncture | Get Sturdy in the Core tree, which gives us a nice toughness boost. Alternatively, leveling up Puncture for more damage potential. |
21 | Sturdy or Puncture | Level up Sturdy or Puncture, depending on you wanting toughness or DPS. |
22 | Sturdy or Puncture | Level up Sturdy or Puncture, depending on you wanting toughness or DPS. |
23 | Malice or Puncture | A single point in Malice (Concealment tree, next to Exploit) seems good. Alternatively, more Puncture levels also works. |
24 | Shadow Clone | While all of the Ultimates are interesting, this one has aa very high upside versus bosses and elites. Mirroring our damage is no joke. Rain of Arrows can be interesting with Poison Imbuement. |
25 | Prime Shadow Clone | Unstoppable is useful, but we're mainly here to get the next node... |
26 | Supreme Shadow Clone | More damage. Sure! |
27 | NONE | You only get 26 points for Beta! Go level up another class! |
