Rogue Important Notes by Level (plain text)
Here are the level by level notes presented plainly. Obviously this will expand over time as we can level to max. Note that these are for Rogue specifically, and the general notes are found in the general guide.
Level | Reminder | Note |
---|---|---|
3 | Improving your Flurry | I highly recommend completing the Forsaken Quarry dungeon for the Aspect of Encircling Blades. The circular AoE is a huge quality of life improvement. If you leave Kyovashad by the east exit, just keep travelling north while hugging the wall on your left (you need to climb once), you'll bump into the dungeon entrance shortly. You don't need to do this now, since it's unlikely you'll have a weapon to imprint - but it's good to be aware of it. |
15 | Unlock Specializations! (Combo Points) | The priority quest True Potential unlocks a rogue system - Specializations. The first one you unlock with this quest is Specialization: Combo Points. You gain combo points with your basic skills, and spend them for bonus effects with your Core skills. It's a straight up power increase so get it ASAP. |
20 | Unlock Inner Sight Specialization | This priority quest unlocks your second Specialization - Inner Sight. It's a nifty little system that marks a random nearby enemy - hitting this enemy fills up a gauge. When full, for a limited time, you spend no energy on skills! This is honestly only useful for longer tougher boss fights, as it can be a bit of a hassle and you might not always maximize it when your gauge hits full in normal scenarios. |
30 | Unlock Preparation Specialization | Rough notes for now: Basically deals with Ultimate skill CDR. Pretty powerful but requires quite a mature build. Combo points is still best for general leveling, and Inner Sight is not bad for bosses. |
31 | Hands tired... | I simply can't update any more notes, haha. I'll add and refine very soon! |
Rogue Leveling Build (plain text)
Here's the leveling build presented plainly. As a side note I will probably add at least one variant per build, or maybe more once your reach key passive levels.
Skillpoint | Node | Note |
---|---|---|
1 | Puncture | The best basic skill once upgraded. Good in melee, passable in ranged. |
2 | Enhanced Puncture | For the most part, we get it to access the next upgrade. |
3 | Flurry | While almost all core skills are good, I chose Flurry for a bunch of reasons. As your build matures, you'll understand. |
4 | Fundamental Puncture | GODLY. Vulnerability on demand. Also gives more knives making it better in melee. |
5 | Enhanced Flurry | Low key amazing. The auto-vuiln on Puncture makes this easy to proc. Provides a ton of healing. |
6 | Improved Flurry | Hitting a Vulnerable enemy with Flurry spreads the debuff to all other enemies hit. |
7 | Dash | Basic skill for mobility, travelling, and repositioning in combat! |
8 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 2. |
9 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 3. |
10 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 4. |
11 | Flurry | Power up your Flurry to Level 5. |
12 | Poison Trap | |
13 | Enhanced Poison Trap | |

34 | Close Quarters Combat or Victimize | You could even use Momentum... try them all out, as you can potentially use either of the three. They each have their ups and downs. CQC is my general choice. |
