So you’re curious about how to setup Solo Weapon Builds in The Bazaar? If so, you’re probably a fan of both Vanessa, and melting faces. Let’s get into it.

Vanessa has a bunch of items that mention “If this is your only weapon”. Both support cards (Crows Nest, Silencer), and even some weapons themselves (Rifle, Sniper Rifle) Let’s try to make sense of it all.

Solo Weapon Build – CORE Support Items

There are some items that SPECIFICALLY mention having a single weapon, and give buffs for it. Notably, Crows Nest, and Silencer. These are the main payoffs for actually going down this route. I’d say these really enable these builds in the first place.

Crows Nest (Large Property Aquatic) Your weapons gain X Critical Chance. If you have exactly one weapon, it has lifesteal.

Well, even with many weapons this can pull its weight. Large crit bonus aside, the Lifesteal clause on solo weapons is absolutely huge. Basically, it turns your DPS into healing, giving you an inherent defensive aspect to your build.

Silencer (Small) – The weapon to the left of this has +10 Damage. If you have exactly one weapon, reduce its cooldown by X%.

While the damage boost is great, the cooldown reduction is really what pushes this into absurd territory.

I’m unaware if there are other support items which specifically mention having a single weapon – but these two are your hard hitters.

Remember upgrading these items essentially upgrades your solo weapon as well – making a huge impact on its overall power.

Best Solo Weapons for Vanessa

Here’s a short list of great weapons for these solo weapons builds. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but to get your juices going so you know when to pivot into these builds. We’re also focusing on Vanessa since the main support items for these builds are hers (more on this later).

Sniper Rifle (Large Weapon) – Deals X damage. Multiplied by 2/3/4/5 if it’s your only weapon

Quite obvious right? It says right on the tin it deals much more damage on its own. This can quite often literally one-shot your opponent.

Flagship (Large Property Weapon) – Deals X damage. Multicast. Multicast +1 if you have another Tool, Ammo, Property or Friend.

Getting to Multicast 5 isn’t as hard as it seems. Why is this a great candidate? Since you’re filling up your board with things to boost it already, it may as well be a solo weapon in essence. Crows Nest is a property, now all you need to do is find something good for the other categories.

Double Barrel (Medium Ammo Weapon) – Deals X Damage. Multicast.

Sometimes basic is good. This is kind of like a mini flagship, but with much less support needed (and much less boom boom). As long as you can reload it, feel free to cram as much utility in your build afterward.

There are other great candidates like Submarine (I have a video on this), or Rifle which is surprising when scaled.

Again, it’s not limited to these – but weapons LIKE these might be a good place to start when considering these builds for your run. The Bazaar is all about making good choices with what you’re offered!

Other Support Items for Solo Weapon Builds

Since you’re only packing one weapon – you have lots of potential space for other support items. You have to get creative here! One example is items like Vanessa’s Amulet (Small) – Your items gain X% Crit Chance.

HASTE ITEMS – if you have only one solid weapon, then haste effects essentially go a long way, DOUBLING its power. If you can get a haste effect in, go for it!

So, Why go for a Solo Weapon?

Lots of board space for utility and defenses. With only one weapon, you’re quite free to add utility and defense items. Harpoon? OK! Shielding? Sure! Avoid healing if you have Crows Nest, as it does give your weapon Lifesteal.

Flexibility with upgrades. Leftmost weapon? Rightmost weapon? They’re both the same as you only have ONE.

Compounding buff value. Stacking all your buffs to one single weapon multiply and multiply its power moreso than spreading them out. It also gives your build a level of FOCUS so you wont go astray!

Well, that’s the gist for solo weapons. If you’re ever in a position to try a solo weapon build for Vanessa in the Bazaar, hopefully you’ll remember what’s in this guide! Enjoy blasting people (with one weapon).
