Ayo! Here we talk about all things Support Demon Hunter. Some classes support guides are a little tough to make since they’re a little loose, and there are many interpretations. But here we go!

Support rerolls aren’t as strict as DPS classes, but here’s a good idea of what you need. This also varies wildly on the needs of your specific group setup, and skills.

Solanium on DH is usable. If you plan on using it, get crit wherever you can.

Max Discipline rolls on Cloaks, Weapons and Quiver which isn’t terrible as a secondary stat. Hatred Regen rolls on Cloaks, Quivers, and 1H Crossbow.

Inevitably, you’ll have some DEX remaining on some pieces here and there, which isn’t bad – you need SOME armor, you know.

ZDPS Support Demon Hunter Key Notes

I’ll be adding a little more to this in the future… this section talks about some key build aspects you should be aware of.

Marauders 2 + Zoey’s Secret + Cloak of the Garwulf: M2 gives a huge buff, namely, accessing both Wolf and Boar companions. Naturally, Zoey’s Secret becomes an attractive toughness component. Cloak of the Garwulf is added on for some EXTREME toughness gains, but it’s an optional part of the combo.

Why not use M2? A large amount of pets can cause problems with enemy stacking and AI. At the end, all I can say is try it with or without M2, and see if it bothers your group.

Calamity? Some MfD runes don’t work on it. But generally speaking, you can either leave it unruned and have an extra skill, or use any rune of preference. If you’re NOT USING CALAMITYContagion, Valley of Death and Grim Reaper are the only real choices.

Scouting: DH’s extreme toughness and good mobility allow for scouting waaay ahead and isolated from the rest of the group. Setting up good piles of enemies and scouting for Pylons is a major part of a ZDPS DH.

Long-lasting buffs play into this style very well. Leaving a field of Guardian Turrets, Marked for Death, Wolf buff… they’re all rather long lasting buffs. Your teammates won’t even notice that you’ve gone scouting (just don’t go ahead too much).

Boar’s Taunt is a great way to bring ranged enemies in and pack enemies tightly. Don’t make light of this skill, it’s seriously good. On this same note, some DH’s use an L25 Boyarsky’s Chip to snipe-taunt enemies, which is damn good.
