You’ll find all sorts of information here regarding the Unchained Career (for Sienna) in Vermintide 2. The Unchained is Sienna’s “Melee Tank” spec. Taking damage increases Overcharge, and your ult vents it! Overall, the career has a cool mechanic but goes against “not getting hit”, but I guess it’s for insurance!

Unchained Early Game / Starter Build – Talent Choice Discussion

L5 Talent - Form of the Fire Wind

Form of the Fire Wind (+Max Overcharge) I like this a lot. It allows you for more leeway on damage conversions via passive!

Volcanic Body (+Max HP) Seems slightly worse than max OC. I just feel like you can get this via item if you really wanted it… I don’t know, max OC just seemed better to me in my runs. I get why you would want this, but I think it’s only so-so.

Backblast (+Block and Push angle) A very proactive talent choice! It’s not terrible, but i feel max OC just has more implications (even for offense).

L10 Talent - Feuerbach's Fury

Feuerbach’s Fury (Charged melee increases stamina regen) Blocking releases overcharge and having more stamina helps you do that. Not amazing, but useful.

Essence Syphon (Convert THP and clear wound on boss kill) Actually not half bad… It’s a valid choice on some maps, I guess?

Seared Nerves (Revived allies have more armor) Dying is the LEAST of your priorities…

L15 Talent - Natural Talent

Natural Talent (Reduces overcharge gain) Simple and effective. Less overcharge gained means less problems with a lot of things. It indirectly gives you more mitigation!

Dissipate (Reduces damage from venting) Every bit helps. This could work, but I feel less Overcharge buildup simply is a case of “prevention is better than cure”.

Conduit (Speeds up venting) I don’t think I would ever want this unless it’s the absolute most dire of situations…

L20 Talent -Soul Snare

Soul Snare (THP on Kill) is the default option for this tier for almost all careers.

Seething Embers (THP on Crit) If you can  SOMEHOW get this to work for you with (high crit build) then use this instead. You’re gonna need some serious gear rolls for it though.

Blazing Harvest (Heal on boss kill) I don’t like this talent type AT ALL.

L25 Talent - Tick, Tick, Tick...

Tick, Tick, Tick… (Reduced CD on ult) is the basic choice since your ult does so much for you. Having it up when you need it is pretty important!

Flame Wave (Increased ult AoE) makes it better “at what it does”, which is clear a bunch of chumps. Not bad at all.

Blazing Crescendo (Increased ult DMG) I don’t like this at all. It just doesn’t seem to be what its primary purpose is. Maybe some testing on how good it is?

Remember the above recommendations are primarily suited to be good for “most people”, specifically for “early to midgame” when gear drops can’t easily be tailor fit to your needs.


Well that’s about it (FOR NOW) regarding Sienna’s Unchained Career path in Vermintide 2. With full blown gear, Unchained can get pretty tanky. However, getting hit is pretty bad in the first place so I have mixed feelings on this. Pretty good at handling mobs, though!
